Wow! Let me say it again, Wow! That was a great dinner last night. I can honestly say that this was one of the most exquisite TuesdayClub evenings we have had this season. Chef Pambos of Alio-Olio once again outdid himself by preparing a multi course menu with selections ranging from caprese salad to freshly marinated red wild mushrooms to an exquisite risotto with fresh porcini mushrooms surrounded by a finest cheese selection.
The Tuscany wines from Gabbiano were just fantastic and complimented the dishes superbly. Especially the Belluza with its striking vibrant ruby colour in a hint of aged brick tones. Peppery nose, showing beautiful raspberry notes and a striking unique cherry twist. The palate, on the other hand, delivers a red fruit invasion laced with mild wood smoke and dark chocolate.
The member attendance was satisfactory. Although no-one appeared in a tuxedo or long evening dress, the overall attire was quite interesting. Stavros with his GAP outfit and Leto made a late entrance bearing gifts, ruby-red pomegranates from their uncle's orchard. Christos in his usual white short-sleeve shirt made it to a second cigar by the end of the night. The evening came to a crescendo when Kakis appeared after he washed all his painting brushes in a striking petrol station outfit and took the chair opposite Stavros.
The evening came to smooth ending when Pambos appeared again holding a bottle of masticha liqueur that was highly appreciated and enjoyed to the last drop.
Keep well,
The TuesdayClub
